Conjunctions

Pariticiples :

A non-finite part of a verb, used either in compound verb forms with an auxiliary verb expressing tense and voice, or as an adjective.

A form of a verb that in some languages, such as English, can function independently as an adjective. e.g . A tired man . I'm tired.

To be able to choose pronouns correctly, you must learn to identify clauses. A clause is a group of words containing a verb and subject.

Abridged dependent clauses

Some dependent adverbial clauses are incomplete and leave out 'both' subject and main verb.

The subject of the main clause then becomes the subject of the dependent clause as well, with some meaning of the verb 'to be' understood (e.g. When buying a computer, you should seek professional advice = When you are buying a computer, you should seek professional advice)

Green beans with tomato sauce and olive oil

Added by runneralps | Thu 28 May 2009 @ 20:20
Green beans with tomato sauce and olive oil
Ingredients
4 serves
1 kgr green beans
1 big onion peeled and sliced
2 cloves of garlic
2-3 tomatoes peeled and chopped
2 hanfulls of parsley
salt,sugar
1 cup of olive oil
Method
So to make this dish, you have to peeled softly the beans, all around, and to put them in a pan with a great portion of chopped onion and 2 cloves of garlic with 1 cup of extra virgin olive oil.The beans will now saute and the cook must gently mix the food, with a wooden spoon all the ingredients.
After 5 minutes, and when the onion\'s color turn into gold, the cook may add 2-3 peeled and chopped tomatoes, 2 handfuls of well chopped parsley and 1 1/2 tea sp of salt.
The last act that cook has to do, is to add 1 glass of water and to close the top of the pan. Then the food must be cooked in a slow fire for 50-60 minutes. Dont add to much water because the green beans are \"expelling\" the water their body contains , during the cooking, and so if you add too much water the food will be tasteless.
Remember slow fire means TASTY FOOD....
